Abstract
English is an important compulsory course for students of non-English majors. College english test band 4 (CET-4) is a large-scale standardized test designed and developed by the National College English Testing Committee (NCETC), and it were directed and supervised by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education. CET-4 is very important for college students and teachers. The relevance between college english course test score and CET-4 score is explored based on linear regression analysis in this paper. Linear regression analysis is introduced and the figures of correlation between college english course test score and CET-4 score are ploted as scatter diagram and linear regression analysis model. Base on the data of eight classes, it is indicate that the CET-4 score is tightly related to the college english course test score.
