Abstract
Precise measurement of corrosion status of grounding grid and grounding resistance is a fundamental factor in the protection of power systems. For this purpose, this paper presents a new method, in which, quasi-steady-state measurement is used to detect the conductors´ corrosion state and a relation data base between the corrosion depth and grounding resistance is built to obtain the corresponding value of grounding resistance. The results obtained using the method proposed are compared with results measured by fall-of-potential method. Our work has shown that this method can provide a fast-resolution industrial application with acceptable results.
