Abstract :
Aiming at several occurrences of derailment accident of a given heavy haul locomotive in tests, the paper analyzes the operational principles of DFC-E100 coupler under longitudinal brake force, establishes a dynamics model of coupler and heavy haul trains with two locomotives according to DFC-E100 coupler structure, explores the dynamic issues of heavy haul locomotives with the coupler under longitudinal force. The results show that a big rotation coupler must have the function to reset to the central line, and the longitudinal force and the reset function have a significant effect on the wheel flange wear of the locomotive.
