Abstract :
In view of the present situation that most real-time operation system, which are desigened for general-purpose processors, lack of efficiency when transplant it to DSP to run, the optimizing strategies based on the special structure and instructons of DSP is summarized and proposed. Then these strategies is applied to the μC/OS-II system running on the C55x series DSP of Texas Instruments, and the performance indicators of the Kernel is tested. The comparative test results of various indicators show that the run-time, code and data size of the system before and after optimization is improved, thus the feasibility of these optimizing strategies are proved.
