Abstract :
A new software development model based on ontology is proposed in this paper. Each part of the model including the definition, the assignment and the end products is specified and described in detail. The ontology-based software development model takes the characteristics of software development in scientific research field into consideration, adopts the advanced theory and method of ontology, absorbs fully the merits of available software development model, and makes good use of some recent thoughts and technologies such as software reuse, components, UML and so on.
