  • Abstract
Ancient architecture protection and reconstruction is very important application of Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning technology (TLS). The paper, after discussing working principle and workflow of TLS and point cloud registration based unit quaternion, analyzed and researched of the algorithm and principle and steps of spherical projection based triangulation, tried to give an effective method and process of ancient architecture protection and reconstruction. The case of the ancient architecture verified its feasibility. It is of great significance to research data processing and 3D Modeling.
