  • Abstract
With the rapid development of new theories and technologies, especially AI, data mining and emerging communication technologies, both data collection and smart data analysis have provided new approaches for the development and improvement of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems). This paper proposed an IEB-oriented ITS Model which combined data mining with 3S (RS, GIS, GPS) Technologies to help establish an intelligent data collection and smart analysis process for ITS. The specific requirements, framework, functions, and technologies are introduced to better understand and apply the model. Experience and behavior based data mining and all-round data collection functions with support of integration of 3S technologies are emphasized in this model. In the end, improvements based on technologies of the Internet of things, such as RFID and WSN, are also pointed out for further research.
