Abstract :
In this paper, we introduced a new architecture for scalable P2P media streaming namely SWOR. It utilizes small world peering organization on overlay to deal with the existing problems in chunk based streaming systems. SWOR evaluation against CS resulted in improved packet delivery and better video quality. Results also showed a significant reduction of average number of overlay hops which leads to lowering the transmission delay. The proposed SWOR architecture incorporates SVC to ensure smooth video quality delivery with guaranteed adapted QoS.
