To establish the uniform friend or foe situation map, the gridlock is carried out, which converts the positions of platforms and targets into a unified coordinate system. Aiming at the problem of gridlock for the beyond-visual-range platforms on the sea, the beyond-visual-range gridlock methods for offshore platforms and aerial platforms are studied, and the mathematical model of gridlock is founded. Through simulations, the impacts on precision of gridlock due to the sensor measurement error are analysed. Moreover, the Height Modification Formula for the aerial platforms´ height is proposed, which deals with the height error of aerial platforms caused by the curve of the earth´s surface. The results have a high value of military application for the establishment of situation map and maritime cooperative engagement.
