Abstract :
The software for simulation of electrmagnetic waves propagation through the soil layered structure with shallow buried objects has been described in the paper. The simulation is based on the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method and allows to define ten layers of soil and four buried cubicoid objects. Such virtual ground penetrating radar (GPR) system seems to be useful for test of targets detection level for different soil structure configurations as well as different transmitted radar signals and scanning methods.
