Abstract :
At present, the methods of acquiring the body data mainly include the grating projection and laser stripe scanning. The point cloud takes on the feature of scan line by the laser stripe scanning systems developed by our team. They are dense along the measuring direction and relatively sparse along the scanning direction. The initial point cloud must be processed for reconstructing the body model. At first, the front and back sides are registered by 3D geometric transformations to create one single object. Then the noisy points are removed. At last, the denoised point cloud is simplified along the measuring direction by the method of string difference. The result shows that processed point cloud retained the characteristic of the human body and it is suitable for reconstructing the surface body model for future research.
