Landslide is one form of geomorphic processes. According to the theory of slope geomorphic process, landslide geomorphological system is composed of units which have mass and energy exchange with the landslide body, and these units also have direct influence on the stability of the landslide body. The Landslide system consists of three subsystems: upper-slope subsystem, landslide body subsystem and down-slope subsystem. Landslide geomorphological system has integrity, hierarchy, open and dynamic characters. Based on the knowledge of these characters, principles of integration, hierarchy, equality, and dynamic state should be adhered to landslide control. This paper presents the countermeasure as “combining the two ways of dredging and plugging, but mainly of dredging” and “focus on the whole, divide and rule”.
