The sustainable and healthy development of society needs to be guided and aided by design. Via researching the content and key issues of the sustainable development, analyzing the concept of “green and harmony” contained in which, combining the modern design reflection and trends forecast of idea evolution, put forward to the developing direction of promoting sustainable development for the future society, and discuss universal design as an important role in promoting interpersonal equality and social harmony, guiding people to use resources greenly from various aspects of human, society, environment and so on.
