Abstract :
There are increasingly more and more highway tunnels in China. The factors to safe tunnel operation include ventilation, lighting, fire, weather and car flow in traffic. This design will focus mainly on two major factors: ventilation and lighting. Design work as stated in this document will be carried out stringently following national and industrial specifications. Best ways of ventilation and lighting will be worked out through calculation by using mathematical models. Based on PLC application, information of tunnel environment will be acquired through CO instrument and W instrument and transmitted to PLC and upper computer which will control fan speed and potassium lighting. In this case, ventilation and lighting can be controlled automatically. Designing application configuration software will help to realize intellectual and remote control of tunnel.
