Abstract
In this paper, a novel scheme for copyright protection based on singular value decomposition (SVD)is presented. There are three roles in this scheme: the signer, the trust authority (TA), and the verifier. The signer extracts the feature of the protected image and executes exclusive-or operation on it and logo image then gets the certification that is sent to the TA. The TA executes the one-way hash function on the certification and timestamp, and then generates the certificate. Then, TA releases the certificate on its website. The verifier can be anyone who wants to check the copyright of the image. If the verifier wants to check a host image, he can download the certificate and verify the host image with the downloaded information and the protected image. The performance of the proposed copyright-proving scheme is robust to variety of signal distortions, such as JPEG compression, image cropping, geometric transformations and noises. Based on the human visual system (HVS) characteristics, our retrieved logo image are recognizable and beneficial to protect copyright from various attacks.
