  • Abstract
    Crowd animation production is still a challenge in computer animation today. This paper presents an approach for generating paths of a crowd animation, which is based on Particle Swarm Optimizer and consider the optimization process of a particle swarm as a motion process of a crowd. Some measures are taken to make generated character paths realistic and natural. A tool was developed to generate crowd animations and case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
