Abstract :
Because of belonging to the information of system condition, the noise degree of signal could be utilized to express the difference of system condition. After obtaining the symbolic probability series by the signal time series, the symbol-chaos characteristics, which could identify the noise degree of signal, are constructed with the four parameters that are symbolic Shannon entropy, symbolic Kolmogorov entropy, symbolic correlation dimension and symbolic Lyapunov index. The calculation methods and process diagram of symbol-chaos characteristics are offered. The symbol-chaos characteristics could effectively identify the noise degree of signal and then the system condition.
