Based on the grey system theory and strength-time relationship, the grey verhulst forecasting model is proposed and the applicability of grey verhulst forecasting model is discussed. The model is applied to practical engineering to predict lightweight soil strength by the calculating program. The result shows the measured strength is good agreement with the forecasted strength of grey verhulst forecasting model. Therefore the grey model can present an effective method to predict the ultimate lightweight soil strength.
