Abstract :
We experimentally study the effects of fiber nonlinearity on Radio-over-Fiber transmission of a 111.689 Mbps BPSK signal with a carrier frequency of 10.804 GHz. In the transmission over a 25-km single-mode fiber, a power penalty due to signal fading caused by fiber dispersion is reduced by 2.3 dB by increasing the launched power to +15 dBm.
