Abstract :
Large-Aeff (LA) HFs with Aeff of 150 μm2 were designed and fabricated. Advantages of using HFs were demonstrated by comparing microbending loss with conventional step-index fibers. We also numerically optimized dispersion compensating HFs to achieve new dispersion managed transmission lines.
