Abstract :
We have developed ultra-broadband terahertz (THz)-wave generation and detection using nonlinear optical crystals. These organic crystals show promise for generating and detecting sub-THz to 100 THz waves. Frequency-agile THz-wave difference-frequency generation and high-sensitivity THz-wave detection using nonlinear up-conversion at room temperature are reported, and application examples are presented.
