Abstract
The Information Integration Based on Workflows (or IIBW Platform, for short) is a set of practical enabling technologies for developing intelligent information systems. The platform provides an infrastructure for building lightweight interfaces to existing resources that can be composed automatically using workflows. IIBW platform provides integrated access to multiple distributed heterogeneous information sources, thus giving the illusion of a centralized, homogeneous information system. The IIBW Platform enables developers to rapidly create new and innovative applications that leverage existing resources. One deployment of the technology are discussed.
