Abstract :
In this paper, we present an enhanced EDSVQ method namely EEDSVQ to quantize the differential LSFs. The EEDSVQ method can prevent the quantization error propagation efficiently. According to the intra-frame correlation coefficients of differential LSFs, we propose an optimal partition scheme for EEDSVQ method. The simulation results show the EEDSVQ method with (4,6) division has the best quantization performance, and the average spectral distortion of EEDSVQ method outperforms that of EDSVQ method by approximately 0.1 dB.
