  • Abstract
The paper describes one exercise (QRS detector) in the signal processing laboratory which are performed by biomedical engineering students. The QRS detector is built in the FPAA and the students can analyze the influence of the following blocks (band pass filter, rectifier, threshold circuit and comparator) on the final result. A single FPAA board, an oscilloscope and PC are utilized for the exercise. A student changes functional blocks and then observe the output signal. Thanks to easy and fast prototyping method for analog electronic circuit (FPAA), a custom task together with ECG signal can be prepared for each student.
