Abstract
This paper deals with an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). In the paper is described basic theory of filter and a functionality is proved on real laboratory prototypes. EKF is used for parameter identification of synchronous motor with permanent magnets on the rotor surface (PMSM) and for induction motor.
