Abstract
This paper shows a predictive current control with DC-Link voltage balance feature. A restriction in the voltage vectors generated by the 3L converter is explained, which leads to a better 3L voltage pattern, reducing double commutations and accelerating the calculation routine. On the other hand an estimation of the switching losses is considered in the selection of the future voltage vector, which will optimize the switching losses in the entire converter. These new features are proposed in order to contribute to the development of a better control technique to make the converter as efficient as possible and to encourage the use of predictive control for power converters.
