Based on the field investigation and drilling, sediments of 20 cm depth were collected in Chi Reservoir. By cylindrical test indoor, release kinetics of nitrogen and phosphorus in sediment were studied in different temperature and different hydrodynamic disturbance conditions, and the dynamic models of static and dynamic release were built. The balance release flux of nitrogen and phosphorus were calculated by using dynamic models. Then, the release quantity of nitrogen and phosphorus was estimated by combining with the actual situation of Chi Reservoir. The results show that, the quantity of TN and TP that sediment released to water each year respectively is 28.544 t and 1.605 t, the concentration of TN and TP in water can increase respectively 0.071 mg/L and 0.004 mg/L. The results lay important scientific foundations for the eutrophication controling of Chi Reservoir.
