Abstract :
With a view to creating a dynamic simulation environment for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) that will make the study of SOFC control algorithms more efficient, the authors have developed a function block based on an SOFC multi-stage model. This multi-stage model is a physical model based on a module structure. It not only covers the dynamic characteristics of the dependency of power generation on load fluctuations, but also enables estimations to be made of the module´s inner temperature distribution. The function block was designed using the object-oriented method, allowing arbitrarily changing module structures or extending physical models to be used. This function block is compatible with MATLAB/Simulink, and will help researchers study the device control in an efficient manner.
