Abstract :
The design and implementation of a WCDMA scanning receiver for network planning and optimization is presented in this paper. The scanning receiver is designed for cells quick searching of WCDMA network. Once a cell is detected, some cell specific parameters are then measured and the performance of the received signal from base station can also be evaluated. Based on these measurements, the operator can optimize the wireless coverage performance and improve the quality of service.
