Abstract :
A simple planar helical antenna with multi frequency is proposed. The planar helical antenna is made by printed circuit board (PCB) with suitable size and bending helix disposed and integrated on the upper and bottom surface of the printed circuit board connected by the via-holes in the board. The antenna has compact size and superior performance compared with normal-mode helical antenna. In this paper, the characteristics of the modified planar helical antenna are studied with respect to its resonant frequency, bandwidth and radiation patterns.
