Local engineering colleges are the mainstay of the popularization of higher education, whose main task is to foster application-oriented and composite engineering and technical personnel to meet needs of local economic development. This requires teachers must possess a higher engineering quality. Starting from the reality of the local engineering colleges, this paper discusses the importance of engineering continuing education for young teachers, analyzes the problems existing among the team of young teachers, and brings forward strategies and effective measures for young teachers´ engineering continuing education.
