Abstract :
Release planning activity is one of the important issues that project managers are always concerned about, because generation of a good quality release guaranties success of a product. PARSEQ method is aimed to improve release planning decisions that are made in previous releases and it is based on retrospective analysis as a way to look back at the events taken place. This method was introduced by Lena Karlsson and Björn Regnell based on a new consideration and re-prioritizing of requirements to find possible improvement decisions for release planning in future releases. In this paper, PARSEQ method is evaluated and investigated in release planning improvement. We used a case study in a software banking project to conduct this evaluation.
