The paper established a differential equation of a new vibration screen which with a monaxial vibration motor was set transversely. Based on Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), the equation was analysed, and the motion equation and the tracing equation were obtained. The discussed of these equations indicated the swing of the sifter body was around its centroid, and the motion trajectory of any point on the sifter body was ellipse. Then, the theoretical research on vibration screen was carried on, and the connections of displacement with parameters were gained.
