Abstract
Training power staff in a virtual substation is green and safe. Virtual substation is usually made up of many substation power equipment virtual models (SPEVM) with high reality sense and strong interaction ability. This paper proposes a new modeling method which is based on 3D engine to implement virtual models of typical SPE. The designed virtual model contains geometrical model, interactive model and behavioral model. The geometrical model is set up by using modeling tool. The 3D engine with VR technique is taken as a core to realize interactive model and behavioral model. By referring to the usage characteristics of typical SPE, the paper proposes an interactive algorithm to further improve the interaction ability of SPEVM.
