Abstract :
This paper proposes a new adaptive rate control algorithm for the reverse link of cdma2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A system. In this algorithm, the reverse link channel quality is regarded as an influencing factor of T2P flow adjustment and a weighting factor is introduced to adjust the degree of influence. In this case, the terminals with good channel quality are able to get more data transmission space, while the terminals with poor channel quality can avoid the system instability which is caused by the increasing transmission power. Simulation results show that the new algorithm easily reduces the system load and improves the system throughput.
