Abstract :
Linear guideway is the pivotal contact part in machine tool, and its characteristics directly influence the machining precision of the machine tool. This paper presents three approach of a mathematic modeling method, a FE modeling method and the experiment for studying the characteristic of the `O´-style linear rolling guideway. Both the mathematic model expressing the relationship between the load and the deformation and the FE model are built. The experimental equipment is set up. Through a series of experiments testing and analysis with diverse loads, the experimental results proves that the two modeling method are correct and feasible, and the FE model has more exact results. The research above can provide supports at the design stage of machine tool.
