Abstract :
If vehicle speed changes frequently, the delay characteristics of the ratio control of the metal belt type continuously variable transmission (CVT) will have a negative impact on the automobile fuel economy. To solve the above problem, this study increased amendment on speed signal of the driven wheel on the foundation of the conventional control strategy, improved the target speed ratio control algorithm, and solved the problem of deviation of operating point of the engine caused by the delay characteristics. The experiment results show that the modified engine control strategy reduced the working point deviation from the best economy working line, and increased the car´s fuel economy.
