Abstract :
This paper tried to extract the information about the characteristics of reservoir formation from the obtained array acoustic logging signals by making use of the time-frequency analysis method. From the time-frequency distribution map, the energy distribution characteristics of different type vibration wave both at different time and different frequency can be observed. And the distribution characteristics of different reservoir formation characteristics, such as dry layer, water bearing formation and oil bearing formation, were analyzed. The results showed that oil/water formation can be distinguished and identified effectively based on the time-frequency analysis method.
