Abstract :
Microstrip array antennas with spatial feed can be designed to act as curved mirrors and lenses by applying appropriate phase shifts. If the array acts on circular polarization, the phase shifts can be obtained by element rotation. Arrays of this type are analyzed and it is shown that the mirror or lens effect is different for each hand of incident circular polarization. This effect is demonstrated by a prototype array lens.
