Abstract
In this paper, we present a number of novel detection algorithms for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless systems, which are capable of achieving near maximum-likelihood (ML) performance with reduced complexity and very suitable for hardware implementation. Also, we incorporate the FPGA prototyping methodology as the real-time verification and proof-of-concept platform so that the actual hardware resource use are investigated and compared for various MIMO detection algorithms.
