Abstract :
Novel low-cost millimeter-wave waveguide E-plane band rejection filters (BRFs) are proposed. In the E-plane BRF, a thin metal plate on which several lightning-shape one-wavelength conductors are formed as resonators by etching process is assembled in a rectangular waveguide as well as conventional E-plane band pass filters (BPFs). For their simple configuration, their costs could be reduced compared to existing waveguide BRFs. The measurement results of Q-band fabricated E-plane BRFs show high attenuation more than 50dB at 48GHz in 4.2% bandwidth within 0.8dB insertion loss.
