Proper Carbon Fiber 3-D braided composite material samples were chosen for typical damages under tensile, compression and bending. Acoustic emission(AE) signals were collected in three-point flexural tests. Wavelet transform was applied to eliminate noise and extract characteristic parameters from major AE events. Parameters analysis was used to analyze AE characteristic of samples under tensile, compression and bending. From spectrum analysis of AE waveform signals, improving understanding damages mechanism of Carbon Fiber 3-D braided composite material.
