Abstract :
In recent years, the application of fingerprint recognition technology has been covered many areas. Significant efforts are continuously being made in designing more efficient and more accurate fingerprint recognition algorithms both in academic and industrial environments. However, the fingerprint databases for the experiment are very limited. This paper describes a method for generating synthetic fingerprints database on the basis of Gabor filter. In addition, this method can generate fingerprints that meet specific requirements which are based on gender, race and other characteristics. Besides, the ratio of fingerprint database on different types can be adjusted according to statistical dates, which will make the database structure more reasonable.
