Abstract :
There are many concave-convex defects in the finite element mesh model structure of composite materials after the layer optimal design. Aimed at this kind of defect, this paper proposed an algorithm which defined a serial of specific recognition rules according to analysis of defect attributes, matched the finite element models with concave-convex defects recursively, and finally recognized all defects, the results of the recognition can be used as further basis for defects repairing. Application examples show that the algorithm could recognize concave-convex defects in finite element mesh accurately.
