Abstract :
Magnetic induction tomography (MIT) is a new method to get the information of bio-impedance distribution. In this paper, we propose a sector multi-channel detection system for MIT to get the impedance information in the detecting area. In the system, the exciting coil and detecting coils were designed separately to enhance the excitation magnetic field intensity, and improve the detecting resolution. Moreover, sector design provides a new way to reduce the ill-conditioned system of equations for image reconstruction. The system has been tested in air field and physiological saline, and the experimental results of ΔB/B indicates that the proposed system is efficient for impedance detecting, and this technique could potentially improve the performance of MIT system.
