Abstract :
A knowledge-based intellectualized CAD system of automotive welding jig is proposed firstly. And then the repository that consists of process repository and design repository including design rule repository, module repository and case repository is discussed. So the method of object-oriented knowledge representation is used to construct the repository. The mixed inference combining CBR (Case-Based Reasoning) and RBR (Rule-Based Reasoning) is applied to the intellectualized design of the automotive welding jig. As a result, the knowledge-based intellectualized CAD system of automotive welding jig is developed. The initial intellectualized design of automotive welding jigs on single work station can be completed using the system.
