Based on the analysis of the dissipative structure about the innovation network with openness, nonlinear, non-equilibrium and self-organizing characteristics, this paper builds a self-organizing model of the innovation network, and then makes a thorough study in the evolution law of the innovation network. The research finds that the self-organizing characteristics of the innovation network mainly show in two aspects, that is, the mutual action among innovation agents and the mutual action between the network and the environment. Furthermore, it is found that the evolution process of the innovation network can be divided into three stages: incubation period, growth period and mature period.
