Abstract
The safety of thermal control system is critical in thermal power plant. The method of variable weight fuzzy pattern recognition is used to assess the safety of thermal control system. The index system for safety assessment is constructed, and specific contents of influencing index values are given, and index values are obtained by Delphi method. The safety class of thermal control system is classified for five grades. It is introduction of the balanced function based on variable weight principle and index weights being corrected by index values that make the safety classification more reasonable. The analyses of instances show that the method of safety assessment can objectively reflect the thermal control system security.
