Abstract :
Electronic speckle pattern interferometry (ESPI) is a wholefield non-contact optical metrology technique for displacement measurement, based on the optical physics of surface-generated laser speckle. Experimental construction integrates out-of-plane and in-plane measurements into a single optical system to measure three-dimensional displacement of pensile gasoline tank. For validation purposes, the analytical and finite element method (FEM) was utilized to compare the experimental result with ESPI measurements. Comparison between analytical results, ESPI results, and FEM results revealed that all results were in agreement. It shows t hat t his technique provides a new effective approach to 3-D displacement measurement and a new method for intensity and rigid of diesel engine element s analysis.
