Abstract :
The paper brings forth an implementation and design method of a new simulator of WSNs based on NS-2 by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of simulators of WSNs which have been developed, which adopts the hierarchy design method similar to ISO and modular implementation method to solve expansibility and limitation of application domain, standard NS-2 interfaces to solve the compatibility with NS-2 and generality. In practice, the new simulator of WSNs has proved that it supports not only evaluating the performance parameters of WSNs, but also analyzing complex network system performance.
